Onshore Energy Underwritter
Job Description To generate new business, develop SCOR's market share in the assigned client portfolio as well as to select, evaluate and underwrite offers of onshore energy property accounts. In addition, visiting clients, brokers and ceding companies as well as surveying risks onsite is an important part of the job. Responsibilities Receive, select, and evaluate offers of facultative and direct business from various sources, calculate ratings, negotiate conditions of the contracts, Generate new offers and promote the Group by pro-active marketing in accordance with the strategy and guidelines defined by SBS Managers, Respond to all offers in a timely manner, Identify ways to develop new business, Research, develop and report on new areas of profitable growth, Maintaining an accurate computer database of approaches and risks accepted, Control premium income according to business plan Produce reports of various formats for reporting purposes as required, Develop and maintain relationships with clients and brokers, Contribute to the claims settlements in conjunction with the claims department, Motivate encourage and contribute to the training of SBS admin staff, 15-30 days travelling on company business per annum. Work with pricing actuaries and marketing actuaries to deliver loss and cash models required for the transaction assessment, Write, review contract wordings with the support from the legal staff, Produce internal documentation relating to transaction the underwriter is in charge of (deal memos, accounting assessment, ...), Coordinate with Middle Office staff to ensure proper treatment of any closed transaction, Contribute to the technical knowledge of sectors and sub-sectors in which the jobholder is working and occasionally issue technical newsletter on the segment for internal & external publication Join underwriter's energy visit or risk surveys and issue synthetical notes for internal use Qualifications Required experience & competencies Experience You have an experience in the Oil & and Gas industry preferably onshore energy activities including renewable Energy. and / or Onshore Energy underwriting experience. Competencies You take personal responsibility, focus on excellence, demonstrate initiative and are open to new ideas. With your negotiation skills, practical thinking abilities and desire to work in an international environment (including travelling) you are an optimal addition to the team.
