Description Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity as a Head of Security Operations. This is a global role, and you will report to the global Head of Trade Compliance & Security, part of the Security leadership team. You will be part of an amazing global security team within Hitachi Energy responsible for safeguarding people, assets, operations, and reputation. Security Operations is focused on five global security programs – physical security, project security, travel & event security, critical national infrastructure security, and security analytics. You will oversee and ensure global alignment and quality in relation to the five global security programs across the three regions, driving security team transformation. The team consists of approximately 30 full-time security specialists based in three regions – Americas, Europe, and Asia, Middle East & Africa (AMEA). Responsibilities: Set and drive security strategy globally. Conduct horizon scanning and risk management related to security issues. Draft, review, maintain, and oversee global security regulations, policies, and processes. Ensure global alignment and quality in relation to the five global security programs across the three regions. Manage security tools and data across multiple locations. Automate security processes and activities (digitalization). Set, oversee, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Oversee and control the global security budget (budget setting, forecasting, controlling). Manage reporting on security issues to senior management. Manage security-related internal or external communications. Manage security-related internal or external audits. Collaborate with external security stakeholders. Background: Bachelor’s degree in Security, Risk Management, International Relations, or closely related subject. Extensive proven experience in managing security operations in a global setting, within government (military, police, or intelligence services), international organization, or an international company. Specialized in physical security, project security, travel & event security, critical national infrastructure security, and/or security analytics. Demonstrable strategic and leadership skills. Exceptional managerial skills. Strong analytical skills. Experience in leading transformational projects. Knowledge of security tools and data sources.
